Coshh cabinets – Our security version.

Coshh cabinets can be used in a verity of ways. They are perfect and built for storing hazardous substances. These are generally chemicals that can cause harm to employees or the employer. Both as important and a reason to purchase one. Many companies over look this issue however it is a necessity that you regulate your selves with the cosh regulations.

Throughout this blog I am going to talk you about coshh cabinets and the various different options available. There are two main types of cabinet to choose from. The standard cabinet that we have mentioned in our other blogs. Moreover, we have our cosh security range that is widely used in the industry. We have spoken a lot less about these cabinets but hope to fill you in a little.

Coshh cabinets and in partially the security version over the standard version are much more durable. This isn’t to say that the standard version won’t do the job because it will and indeed very well. The security version is manufactured from 1.5mm thick to add extra durability to the unit. The standard cabinet is manufactured from 0.7mm thick steel however is still very durable and will last you many years. As both cabinets and in fact all cabinets are manufactured by us here in the UK. This means that we have full control over the process and every cabinet we produce is of the highest quality.

Every security coshh cabinet also has a three-point locking mechanism. This is where the security part comes into action. Our standard cabinet comes only with a 2-point mechanism. Again, this does the job very well however the three-point mechanism will add the extra security to the cabinet. All this really means is that your products will be safer and adds another layer of protection.

All the security cabinets also come with a piano hinge. This is great and adds another level of high security manufacturing. What this means is that you cannot try and break in using a crow bar as there is know where to get leverage. As you can see from that this makes the cabinet a, what we like to call, non-burgle zone. Great for you and indeed the products being stored.

For the next part of this blog, I just want to mention that this applies for all our security cabinets throughout the range.

All our security coshh cabinets and all security cabinets as mentioned above have a return behind the piano hinge. (please refer to the image.) This means that the piano hinge can not be broken into. Even if you do manage to break through the piano hinge the return will stop them from being able to actually get into the cabinet. While we can’t class them as a safe, they are built very similar and have many of the same features, making them very similar to one. This return will not get in the way when using it be an eye sore, it is neatly tucked away and will not hinder storage space.

To conclude, the price is affected by all these added features, however, what you get for that added cost is a highly secure cabinet that leaves you with the up most confidence that none will be able to get into the cabinet without your consent.
