CoSSH Cabinets - What you need.

Not everyone knows the importance of Coshh cabinets. People are unsure as to how to use them and indeed why they are needed. In this short blog I aim to give you a little insight into why you need a Coshh cabinet or why you don’t need one.

Storing hazardous substances has been implemented into the law since 2002. This being said people still don’t store their substances in Cossh cabinets leaving their employees at a potential risk. This ACT is often over looked by many and is often picked up on health and safety inspection. This then only leaves you a set amount of time to implicate the storage of hazardous substances. This is why here at hazardouscupboards.co.uk we have all our Cossh cabinets on a 5-day delivery with the option of next day at an additional £40.00.

The Cossh regulations means that the following substances have to be stored in the correct cabinet:

  • Chemicals

  • Products containing chemicals

  • Fumes

  • Dusts

  • Vapours

  • Mists

  • Gases

The full range can be found on our website and we promise a price match which means that there is no need to look any further.

As most businesses these days use hazardous substances in some kind of way it is very important that you have the correct storage for the substances you have. You can follow a few simple steps to ensure you are storing chemicals that need to be stored.

Generally, on most products there will be an identification label. This means that it will, in a way, tell you how it needs to be stored. Below is a image of what you might see on the product container.
