Coshh Cabinets – Do they need to be installed.

Coshh Cabinets can be very bulky and hard to move around. This said it can be done. We always advise using two people for the larger Coshh Cabinets. If you have ordered/ are interested in a smaller one, then these don’t tend to be that heavy and can be moved around with ease. A little tip is to try not to drag the cabinets along the floor as the edges can Fray out if they get stuck. This is unlikely, but it has happened before.

Here at Hazardous cupboards we do offer an install service however this is price on application and it tends to be expensive if you only have one Coshh cabinet. If you have multiple or a very large quantity, then it can be worth your time as we will get the job done for you hassle free. We will deliver, install and take the pallets and packaging away with us. We can also nest the cabinets together if there is a large run of them, making them extra secure and sturdy.

Once you have placed your order with us your Coshh cabinet will take around ten working days to get to you. This is down to the fact that they are UK manufactured and made to order. If you need a shorter lead time, then we do offer our hazardous cupboard range on a five-day delivery or next working day delivery. All our cabinets go out via the pallet network. This means that they will be delivered on pallets, they will also be wrapped for protection and to stop any damage occurring when in transport. This said occasionally (very small amount) this does happen, but don’t worry we will get a replacement sent out to you straight away.

So, going back to the question in hand. Do you need to install these cabinet? The answer is no unless you have a large quantity or don’t have a few minutes to put the coshh cabinet into place. They don’t really need installing as they arrive fully built and can simply be placed into position. This said if you have a rather large amount this can be very time consuming and it can sometimes be worth getting us to install for you and a small extra cost. If you have a team or a couple of people to do this then great and we would advise this be the case as they are really not hard to ‘install’.

So, to conclude, if you have ordered a larger sized coshh cabinet then it is very important that you handle and move this cabinet with two people. Try not to drag the cabinet as this can cause damage to the base of the cabinet. We don’t always advise install however if you have a large amount that needs to be put into place then we can offer this for you.
